Caesar Salad

  • 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons anchovy paste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 large romaine bunch
  • 1 cup garlic-flavored croutons
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Freshly ground pepper
  1. Wash and drain the romaine leaves, chop them into one-inch pieces.
  2. Mix the olive or vegetable oil, lemon juice, anchovy paste, Worcestershire sauce, ground mustard and finely chopped garlic together as the dressing of the salad.
  3. Toss the romaine and croutons in a bowl with the dressing and add parmesan and salt and pepper.

Shirazi Salad with Avocado

  • 5 Persian Cucumbers
  • 4 Tomatoes
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 1 Avocado
  • ½ teaspoon Fresh or dried Mint
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Lime Juice
  1. First of all, peel and dice the cucumbers, then dice the tomatoes, onion and the avocado. Add them all to a bowl. Try to dice everything into small and same size pieces; it has been famously said that if the pieces are diced fine the tastes mix better and the chef is more skilled.
  2. At this point get the juice of two limes or equal to one cup, add that over the mixture of cucumber, tomato, onion and avocado; add salt and pepper also fresh or dried mint leaves and then with salad fork and spoon mix everything together.

Olivier Salad

  • 1 Chicken Breast
  • 2 Potato
  • ½ cup Peas
  • ½ cup Corn
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper
  1. Cook the potatoes, eggs and chicken separately. Then peel and leave them to cool down. When they are cooed down, dice them all in the same size cubes.
  2. Check readiness of the potatoes with a knife, it should slice through the center easily. Cook the eggs to hard-boiled eggs.
  3. Toss the diced chicken, potatoes, eggs and a cup of peas and corns into the bowl; add Mayonnaise and a little salt and pepper, then mix everything to all the parts are evenly covered with mayo.
